magician displays a pedestal – type stand. An empty glass is placed on top of the stand and covered with a large handkerchief, Performer vanishes a silk hanky. The handkerchief covering the glass is removed and the silk has reappeared in the glass. This effect that was popular with conjurors in the early 1900s and known as the Handkerchief Pedestal.
