From the 40″s to the late 60″s Philip Morris and a group of twelve or so professional magicians toured all over North America in movie theatres, presenting their Midnight Ghost Stage Shows. DR. BILL NEFF”S “MADHOUSE OF MYSTERY” was one of these eerie attractions. He broke box office records everywhere with his collection of zombies and spooks. Author William V. Raucher”s 315 page, hardbound book, has over 325 photos and illustrations. The book not only gives you a clear insight to the workings of these attractions, but an extensive background on Bill Neff. These shows were the forerunners of today”s Haunted House.
